Opti-Cure is an antibiotic to treat eye infections in dogs and cats
the components:
Each 1 gram contains:
Oxytetracycline HCl is equivalent to 5 mg oxytetracycline
Colistin (colistin sulfate) 10,000 IU
Indications:
OptiCure is indicated for the prevention and topical treatment of superficial ocular infections caused by organisms sensitive to oxytetracycline and colistin, including infections caused by Streptococcus, Rickettsia, Escherichia coli, and aerogenes, such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, pink eye, and corneal ulcers.
Blepharitis in birds, dogs, cats, cattle, sheep and horses.
Eye infections due to bacterial complications secondary to tuberculosis in dogs, and bacterial inflammatory conditions that may occur secondary to other infectious diseases in the species mentioned above.
Dosage:
OptiCure should be applied topically to the eyes 2-4 times daily.
Warnings:
Serious and life-threatening hypersensitivity (anaphylaxis) reactions in some cats after use of antibiotic eye preparations. If your cat has facial swelling, itching, appears weak, vomits, or has difficulty breathing within 4 hours of application, you should stop treatment and contact your veterinarian immediately.
